The Mind Of A Champion

MIKES MONDAY MOTIVATIO

The dictionary has many different definitions of a champion. Two particular definitions I find to be perfect; A champion is defined as a warrior, a person who is superior especially in sports. However you could apply this theory to anything in this life that is a desire of yours, not just sports or a actual warrior.

What is it that makes this possible you ask? How would one become superior to others, or be classified as a warrior? It is mind set; it is the absolute belief in themselves and their cause and the fact that they are bona fide risk takers. They believe they have won the battle before taking a single step. There is absolutely no possible way to gain ground in anything without taking a risk. Champions take every risk necessary in order to be victorious, they have already seen themselves with the spoils, champions take calculated risks to fill the gap between the starting point and the top step of the podium. It is easy to figure out how someone who is willing to risk time, money, physical pain and injury, to chase their dream and become the best, surrounds themselves with people of like mindset. However this does not give them the right to be cruel to others, or to look down their noses at others who have not yet obtained a particular level of success. What it does give them the right to do is to be compassionate to others and be a positive example to others who do not yet possess the championship spirit. If every champion, without fear of his trophy being taken away from him, would do everything possible to inject the champion mindset, we would have more people contributing to a solution and not a problem. A desire for our fellow human beings to succeed is a true indicator of a champion.

If you are a documented champion, please extend your hand to those who have the spark in their eye, please be the accelerant that turns that spark into a flame, and then the flame into a inferno. More champions means more positivity in this world, more positivity in this world means more success, more success means more prosperity, and more prosperity fosters a true belief that we can be victorious!

Get out of your comfort zone and grab hold of your championship. Your motivation and success could help numerous amounts of your fellow human beings become champions!

TAKE THE RISK!

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed.

Living with Gratitude

From the very beginning most of us are taught to be thankful for things we receive and to say “thank you” acknowledging acts of kindness. But are we truly ever taught to be grateful? Do we truly understand what it means to show gratitude?

“Thank you” does not cut it; a phrase made up of two words that often times just becomes the thing to say. Being filled with gratitude is a true expression of how you live your life as a result of being given something and not taking it for granted.

This could cover many things, but in this case I am talking specifically about your life. Are you truly filled with a grateful energy in regards to the life that God has put in your chest, do you even care about it, have you ever even muttered a word of thanks to your creator?

Bottom line is this; there is nothing above God or the Lord, nothing. They sit at the ceiling of the heavens, there is nothing higher. Once we understand that they control everything in our lives, we then can truly live. Everything else on this earth, without them being above all in your life, means nothing. Your business, your money, your home, your family, your cars, etc, mean absolutely nothing, all just a façade, an illusion; your LIFE will be an illusion!

Once you begin to live your life in a way that shows God and the Lord that you are grateful for what they have given you, YOUR LIFE, only then will you understand that nothing else matters. You will then understand that life is not about what other people have or what you don’t; the houses, the cars, money, or so called looks that are appealing to society. Big deal, are all of those material things indicative of a relationship with the Creator? Absolutely not! None of what goes on in anyone else’s life matters.

There is not one possession that can do anything for or against you, they are not relevant. Ranting about things that do not matter will kill you, if you cannot see this for yourself, God will show you, and he does not care what it takes to bring you to your knees to realize that HE is above all.

God and the Lord will bring us to what ever they choose, to make us realize why we are here in the first place; to show them gratitude for all they have done for us and that they are the only ones who can do anything for us, nothing else gives us life!

Go deep and think about being grateful, and when you truly grasp the beauty of this life, don’t just thank your maker, live your life to show him that HE is above all, and I have no doubts my friends, that your life with HIM will let you enjoy what really matters; your life with HIM!

Have a blessed day!

The Silent Crime

Have you ever wondered what true silence is?

I know your mind is racing right now asking, “What kind of question is this”? Of course you know what it means to be silent, but I am going to take you to another level. The American Heritage Dictionary defines silence as this: 1. The condition or quality of being or keeping silent. 2. The absence of sound; stillness. 3. A period of time without speech or noise. 4. Refusal or failure to speak out; secrecy.

All of the above is very true and I am sure all who read this can actually feel silence, yes; I believe you can close your eyes, with no doubts at all, and actually feel it surround you and absorb the peace it brings. However, there is another definition and another side of silence that I think has been left out and I am going to address it.

From the Dictionary of Michael Daley I present to you a new definition of silence. “The biggest crime”, yes my friends you read that right, sometimes silence is the biggest crime because in certain situations, doing nothing is filled with a stillness that does not favor the well being of others.

Our duty to our fellow human beings sometimes begins with opening our mouths and articulating to someone of authority that something wrong has occurred! If we don’t speak out about something we know will help another person, then we become bystanders in this life, and our existence is filled with the wrong kind of silence, and I believe another crime has occurred.

Failing to properly handle information you have in regards to a crime only adds to the crime rate. Fearful, uncertain, and concerned for what may happen to you or what people will think of you should you speak out? All natural feelings of course, but think of it this way.... If you observed a crime being committed that no one else saw, your involvement may be the only way for it to be solved. If you don’t speak up, another crime will be committed.

We all have the right to be silent, however, look at it this way; if you remain silent in regards to a crime, and the people who may have a problem with you because you spoke out won’t even matter, they will be by the way side soon enough. However, your stillness and lack of noise will forever travel with your thoughts….you will never be able to enjoy silence ever again….. Speak up my friends!!

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed.

Journey

My journey in this life has included many stops along the way and I am sure you will be able to relate to most, if not all of what I speak of. Reflecting on my times spent at these stops has allowed me to truly grasp why I am here on this earth.

The times I was stopped or maybe I should say delayed, were times of pure struggle, never once was there a stop that provided absolute peace and tranquility, no, every stop was a struggle. Am I saying that my life has been miserable? No, not in the least, but it has stopped at times.

When we get held up by something, it is usually by something uncomfortable, depressing, sad, tragic, loss etc…etc… our forward progress and the ability to do what we truly want in this life is rarely, if ever, put on hold because of something good. These inconveniences, however not clear then, are given to us to make us better, not bitter. If we grasp that, we understand also that we become stronger and become more capable to face things later in life.

I encourage you to realize this the next time you get stopped or are delayed, put your heart into the issue at hand and know that on the other side you will be stronger. Focus on the fact that if a friend or even maybe a stranger is ever in need, chances are your additional strength will be a blessing to them.

We are all bound to face life delays, no way to avoid that, but on the journeys we take in between each of those delays, we should be cognizant of those around us that may be in need. I know why I am here, through my numerous stops filled with struggles, I have been given strength and blessed by being shown my reason for being….I am to extend the hand of hope, freedom, and the chance to provide one more day of life to my fellow human beings in any way I can.

Whether it is risking my life to save others, providing something to someone so they can get one level closer to achieving a dream, or just being kind to other people. The hand of hope takes on many forms; will you compile all the strength provided to you from your delays and stops in your life and use it for the good of others? Will you extend the hand of hope to others?

I pray that you believe it can be done, if it were not possible, I would not have been able to put these words into print, go ahead, do it, you’re strong enough!

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed!

Warranty

Can people believe in your warranty?

What does this mean you may ask; well in the world of business, most companies provide a warranty for their product and service so if there is something that goes array, the customer and product are protected with no additional costs.

We as small business owners must be no different in that respect, but we must provide even better comfort zones than major corporations when it comes to customer service.

As small business owners we should be at eye level with those that have put their trust in us, we can never hide behind a website or hide behind an answering machine.

If something goes wrong, and it sometimes will, we must get in contact with the customer as soon as possible, preferably eye to eye, I know not always practical, but somehow immediately let them know the situation will get fixed.

Too many times the “human element” is removed from customer service, and all we hear are messages prompting us to punch in a number that will allow us to get a new computerized message in regards to how our situation will get fixed, albeit not when we want it too because we have not been assisted by another human being, just a pre- recorded message from one, which rarely is adequate assistance at all.

As owners of businesses, we should never let a phone or computer come between us and a customer, we must never let the sweat running from our brow into our eyes, blind us and prevent us from immediately contacting our customers after we get a message of distress from them.

It is our duty to back up our warranty, our guarantee. When something goes wrong, the customer sees clearly, because of the problem, it is us with the sweat in our eyes. Take a deep breath, wipe the sweat from your eyes, and fix the problem. It will only sting for a little while, for both you and the customer.

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed!

Mike's Motivation

Yesterday was fantastic and I was filled with excitement and the sense of accomplishment. The air was warm and the breeze light and in it a strong sensation of contribution and gratitude. It was felt by many and the reward was far beyond words. It was something that you could not touch or physically see, but the feeling sank deep in the bones.

What was the reward? True human being care and concern for others and a presentation that encouraged and promoted victory; nothing else, no dollar amount, no huge trophy to carry home, just a warm feeling of knowing others were told of the potential that was seen in them.

Taking an honest look at yourself and recognizing how special you are, will allow you to see the positive energy coming from others and you should let them know, maybe what you tell them will open their eyes to the victory that is eager for their arrival. Victory awaits us all, but we must first believe that ourselves.

In order to have someone you are involved with, believe what you say, they must see it in you first, without your positive energy and life, the things you tell others may be gone in the wind and they may never recognize their potential.

So, tell yourself that you are special, believe it, live it, and use that energy and spread it around to your fellow human beings….that is what the Lord allowed me to do yesterday, and more importantly, I pray that it leads someone else to say “This is what the Lord allowed me to do yesterday”!

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed.

Mike's Monday Motivation

My current place in this life is a result of my desire to persist.

From the earliest of days, I was shown the best way to survive and succeed; never give up no matter what circumstances bear down on you.

My parents were the best examples of this, they faced adversity many times in their lives, they were faced with life altering situations during my youth, and never did they quit or give up.

My, how I know how hard it was for them to endure these struggles over and over again; after going through many things myself as a adult, I have often reflected on how my parents held themselves together, often times, I wish I would have been as strong as them during my struggles.

I do know however, we react in our own ways, but I thank my Lord that they were as strong as they were during very crucial points in my life. Even in my times of weakness, I remembered how strong they were, and quite honestly, I believe my creator put His strength in their heart and soul so they could be His example in my life. If they had not recognized His love for them, they would not have been able to persist in their quest to ensure my survival, which I believe to be paramount in my success and how I pray for others to succeed.

Having said all of that, the focus is on the Lord and how he persisted, he endured even in the roughest of times, for he went through much more than any of us ever could, he reflected on how his parents provided for him, he relied on the example of his mother and father, and knew they received their strength from above.

Believe and have faith, for your creator has persisted in His quest to get you to where you are now. We are brought to things to make us better, not bitter. Don’t quit, don’t give up, keep going. Your example is just what someone else needs.

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed.

Vortex

As I entered the room, the energy of my vortex consumed all who were near and swept them from their feet into the abyss of success.

A vortex draws into its center all that surrounds it, there are of course bad ones that we must watch out for. Are you smart enough and vigilant enough to avoid being caught up in a whirlpool of mediocrity and failure? I would certainly hope that you are so in tune with your world that you understand the difference.

Many times we see what others are doing and we see it working for them, we immediately get excited and think that we can do it just like they do; however what we are seeing is their energy. Can we duplicate it? Maybe so, but we should focus on creating our own energy, using others as an example is fine, but we must personalize our whirlpool to fit our personality. What works for others, may not, and won’t work for us.

We may be doing the exact same business, but we cannot expect that what has made others successful is going to be our ticket to success. In business, one must constantly revise their plans in order to continue operating successfully, search for a niche if you will. Once a niche is found, you must stick with it in order for the energy to grow, of course you may be able to dip into other areas from time to time, but if you don’t focus on your niche, nothing will ever come; the energy will take an opposite effect and you will have found yourself arriving at “no where” very fast.

With all your heart and soul, focus on creating a positive vortex of your own, and watch the glory and victory pour into your life from above!

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed.

Mike's Monday Motivation - market place

Good Day Friends,

This week’s subject will be market place.

Market place? Yes my friends, you read that right, market place. According to the American Heritage Dictionary, market place is 1. A place in where a market is set up. 2. The world of business and commerce. 3. The figurative place of assembly where works, opinions, and ideas are debated and exchanged.

The market place of ideas. The United States is our market place and we should share our ideas with the entire country. Of course not all will be interested, but the chances of success increase tremendously when we broaden our horizons, and spread our business opinions to others who may have similar interests, or just be interested in the superior product we have to offer.

Where is your market place right now? I know where mine is, and honestly, it is in need of, and is in the process of being expanded. I know what I am going to do to expand my market place.

Do you share the same thoughts? Are you honestly feeling good about your market place? If not, what are you going to do to expand it? I encourage you to take a leap of faith and go after the country.

In order to expand your market place, you have to expand your mind, the market place is big. When a department store makes an announcement in regards to a special, they rely on large store wide speakers to get the word out to everyone, not just a little speaker in a corner of the store for only few to hear. What sound system is being used in your market place?

Come on friends, announce yourself to the market place, you are special and you have special things to offer!

Best regards to all and may your Monday be blessed!

Mike's Monday Motivation - Oversell

Good Day Friends,

This week’s subject will be oversell.

How do you oversell something? Whether it is yourself or a product, there is danger in both. In our world of being enthusiastic entrepreneurs, we must be very careful with “the sale” of our product or ourselves. If we push too hard, no matter what the product, people will turn away from us because we are “selling”.

There are very few people who understand fanatics and enthusiasts; other fanatics and enthusiasts. The rest just have an opinion and we know where that could lead. For the most part, we interact with the general public, who are neither bored nor excited about products, every now and then we come across people who will get excited, but most interaction is monotone.

How about overhauling your thoughts, and go from selling to providing -- the general public likes to be provided for. Simply put the information out there, let the curiosity of the people work in your behalf, be patient, and then begin slowly introducing your excitement to people, it goes back to last week’s topic of delivery.

So, if you find yourself doing the following, the dictionary definition: 1: Contracting to sell more than you can provide, (of yourself or product) 2: To be too eager or insistent to sell something to someone, or 3: To present with excessive or unwarranted enthusiasm, then overhaul your thought process and relax.

If your heart and product are pure and true, you won’t even have to sell anything, let alone be worried of “overselling”.

Best regards to all and may your Monday be blessed!

Mike's Monday Motivation - Delivery

Good Day Friends,

This week’s subject will be delivery.

How do you deliver yourself to others? In other words, the presentation of yourself to people you meet. Is that delivery honest? Is it real? Or is it just to get them in the door?

If the presentation is not honest, once they get in the door, they will see the truth anyway, so be brutally honest with yourself when answering this question.

Take a minute to think about that, we must do an honest assessment of how people see us upon meeting them. They will see what is in our heart. You must grasp your “persona” for what it truly is, once you have honestly evaluated yourself, you can begin to work on the delivery of yourself and become stronger every day.

The health of your mind and heart will determine how you deliver yourself in this life’s journey. I should hope that you would want to deliver happiness, strength, love, and encouragement.

Everyone desires to have things delivered to them in good shape. We enjoy getting packages on our door step that have been properly prepared and shipped with care. We should have the exact same mind set when we deliver ourselves to others in this life, whether in everyday interaction, or in business. And in business, if we have been contacted in regards to the products or service we offer, people expect us to be the total package and we must be prepared and deliver with true compassion.

Are you ready to make the next delivery?

I encourage you to prepare, handle with care, and dare you to make the next delivery the best one yet.

Best regards to all and may your Monday be blessed!

Mike's Motivation - Purpose

Good Day Friends,

This week’s subject will be purpose, and we’ll go deep.

What is your purpose in this life? Why you are here, and with being here, what is your responsibility as a human being in this life, hence, your purpose for being?

Here is the dictionary description, Purpose: 1) The object toward which one strives or for which something exists; goal; aim. 2) A result or effect that is intended or desired; intention. 3) Determination; resolution. 4) The matter at hand; point at issue. As you can see this definition speaks volumes about what is needed to accomplish things, it describes the energy we need in this life to succeed; For without purpose, what really would be?

Confused? I should hope not, for me it is very clear. However, if you find yourself stagnant and going nowhere, questioning your purpose, I would like you to stop, take some time alone, and go deep.

I challenge you to think deeply and pray that you can be shown what your purpose is; I know it will come to you, and when it does, you will be on the fast track to success.

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed!

Mike's Motivation

Good Day Friends,

What is your motivation?

Motivation for what you might ask? Well, for living, that’s what. What is it that makes you get up in the morning and do what you need to do?

The answer of “well, I have to make money to support my family or myself” rings true, however it will only carry one so far. So go deep….what motivates you to live? And if you don’t find yourself really living, but merely getting by and going through the motions of life, I ask you “why do you accept this path?”

I challenge you to think of something you really like to do and then begin LIVING it.

We all have the ability to be victorious, to become champions in our own life. It does not have to be on the state, national, or world level, but we can all be at the top of the podium right in our own homes.

We were all given the mechanism of choice by our creator; HE wants us to choose the path of victory and not mediocrity. With this mechanism of choice, most of the time, it is our own self that chooses not to “I dare you” in the mirror….so go ahead and dare yourself to live, you’ll be amazed at what you are going to accomplish!

I dare you!

Best regards to all and may your day be blessed!
